Long Drop Earrings

Long drop earrings, also known as  long dangle earrings, are crafted to hang from the bottom of the earlobes. The length of these earrings can vary from just a few centimeters to sweeping the shoulders of the wearer.

Typically, a pierced long drop earring is attached to the earlobe with a thin wire that passes through the piercing. The wire may either connect to itself with a small hook at the back or utilize the French hook design, which simply passes through the earlobe piercing without any closure. In some cases, small plastic or silicone retainers are used to secure the earring ends. While post attachment designs are rare, there are also variations of dangle earrings that do not require ear piercing.
